Day Counselors (morning, afternoon and evening hours) provide clinical treatment and supervise youth with significant behavioral and mental health challenges in a 24 hour, residential setting. BA or BS in Human Services (social work, psych) or similar; or 5 years experience in the human services field. Shifts available are 7am-9am, 1 pm-11 pm, or 7am-7pm. Pay range is $10.77-15.82.
Night Awake Counselors provide active overnight support and supervision of youth during a 10 or 12 hour shift. HS diploma required.Shifts available are 7pm-7am or 9pm-9am. Pay range is $9.39-13.39.
General Requirements:
Previous experience with children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral challenges is required. Extensive training will be provided. Ability to document mental health services using a customized computer program required. Prospective employees must be at least 21 years old, have excellent written and oral communication skills, possess a valid Illinois driver's license and proof of auto insurance, and be able to maintain our client’s confidentiality. Prospective employees must submit to a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
